Biographical Statement

Dr. Remick has been practicing in the field of psychology since 1998. He has vast experience in the treatment of struggles faced by children, adolescents and their families. Currently in private practice, he consults with individual clients and several school systems. 

For five years, Dr. Remick served as the Executive Director for Mitchell's Place, where he was largely responsible for the inception of programming that led to treatment for over 1500 families of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

Prior to this position, he served as a clinical psychologist with Grayson and Associates in Birmingham, where he specialized in treatment of children and adolescents with a wide variety of conditions including Asperger’s, Autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder as well as other disorders of infancy, childhood and adolescence. 

Before moving to Birmingham, Dr. Remick served as a Clinical Director at The Groden Center, a New England based facility specializing in the treatment of children and adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral disorders. 

Dr. Remick obtained his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University in California. He completed his internship and fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and The Kennedy Krieger Institute in the Department of Behavioral Psychology. 

These experiences have led to a unique specialization in the psychological and behavioral evaluation and treatment of children and adults with a wide variety of emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and learning disabilities.
